The New Brighton Community Center houses the Eagles Nest Indoor Playground and a branch of the Ramsey County Library. Admission fees to the community center include use of the Eagles Nest, the Wellness Center, track and Gymnasium and access to the pickleball and badminton courts. Family memberships are available for families with four children or less. Apparently the City of New Brighton has defined “family” as “up to two adults and four of their dependent children living in the same household.” Because really anyone who has more than four children is just excessive, right? If you have a fifth child, maybe you can leave them in the car with the window cracked or pay the spare child fee — whatever. Either way, make sure you have proper verification to prove these are, in fact, your children. (My guess is that New Brighton has seen a wave of undocumented dependent fraud. You know, people who choose to take responsibility for extra children just to get a bit more bang for their health-club membership. That’s just speculation, though.)
