The Italian Cultural Center is located in the Hennepin Center for the Arts Building (a/k/a Cowles Center) in downtown Minneapolis. It offers language classes and Italian cultural events. The center sometimes offer events and classes geared toward children, such as cooking classes, movies, a bi-annual story hour, Italian celebrations and artist collaborations.

Children’s School at the Italian Cultural Center

The Italian Cultural Center offers both beginner and intermediate Italian classes for children ages 3 – 17. The center limits its class sizes to create a more ideal learning environment.

Italian Story Hour

The language school periodically offers a free story time to children ages 0-6. Usually offered in May and October, it includes a half hour of activities, songs, crafts and stories in Italian. Snacks and social time follow. While this program is geared toward preschool children six years and younger, all ages and Italian proficiency levels are welcome!

Cinemino – Italian Movie Club

The movie club, Cinemino, offers Italian language movies for children ages three and older. Screenings are usually held on Sunday afternoons twice a year. The program is free and families are invited to meet at the Northeast Punch Pizza for dinner after the screening.
