Cobblestone Park is a small neighborhood park in Woodbury on the southwest corner of Cobblestone and Commonwealth. The park can be accessed from either cross street. Its almost 5 acres holds a small playground, basketball and tennis courts, paved trails and space to picnic. This park participates in Woodbury's Puppet Wagon Program.

Cobblestone Playground

The playground is older, small and standard. However, The City of Woodbury plans to replace this equipment during the summer of 2020. Woodbury donates its old playground equipment to Kids Around the World, a non-profit that rehabilitates playground equipment for poverty-stricken countries.

Until construction begins, you can see get a peek at the playground in this video by an area realtor, Darin Bjerkness, who took the time to make a video of all Woodbury parks in 2015.

6 Fun Things for Families at Cobblestone Park

Cobblestone is a small neighborhood park, and you probably wouldn't go out of your way to visit it unless you live in the neighborhood or are making a point to visit as many parks as possible. However, once you are there, here are some fun things to do together as a family:

  1. Pack a Picnic. If you are coming from Bailey Rd, stop at the Jerry's Food near HealthEast Sports Center. If you are coming from the north, there is a Kowalski's off Valley Creek Road and Radio Drive.
  2. Design an Obstacle Course on the Playground. It's design lends itself well to this. Who can do the whole course the fastest?
  3. Bring a basketball and practice together. This park has a full court, so you could play a game of one on one  or you could practice shots with a game of HORSE.
  4. Take a Stroll along the Paved Trails. Although, keep in mind that this is a small neighborhood park. I wouldn't drive here for a walk, but if you live nearby, it could be part of a family walk.
  5. Play a Game of Tennis together or, if your kids are small, practice your serves while they chase the ball for you.
  6. Take Advantage of the Green Space between the playground and tennis court to play some lawn games, like dodge ball or frisbee. Bring your own equipment for whatever your favorite lawn game might be. If you don't have a favorite yet, we list our favorites in 60 Fun Outdoor Games for Kids.
