I am passing on this e-mail from Saint Paul Parks and Recreation. It looks like fun. If you are interested in riding the bus, you need to pre-register by tomorrow.

Venture Out with Saint Paul Parks and Recreation!

Join us for this free family event on Sunday, August 11 from 1-4 p.m.

Base Camp
201 Bloomington Road
Fort Snelling, MN 55111

Youth, ages 17 & under, must be accompanied by an adult/guardian.
*Activities will take place rain or shine.

Family Fun Activities:

Ropes Course (Ages 12 & up)
Arts & Crafts
Yard Fishing
Obstacle Course
Lawn Games
Bicycling (Bicycles available for ages 10 & up or bring your own)
Climbing Walls (Outside & Inside)
Make Your Own S’mores

Base Camp is conveniently located off of Highway 55 and Bloomington Road in Fort Snelling, MN, 1/3 of a mile from the Fort Snelling light rail station.

*Free parking at the base camp

Free bus transportation provided from the following sites:

Bus #1

12:20 p.m. – Hancock Recreation Center
1610 Hubbard Avenue
12:40 p.m. –  Sibley Manor
1300 W. Maynard Drive

Bus #2

12:15 p.m. – Conway Recreation Center
2090 Conway Street
12:35 p.m. – Dayton’s Bluff Recreation Center
800 Conway Street

Bus #3                                                                                           

12:15 p.m. – North Dale Recreation Center
1414 N. St. Albans Street
12:35 p.m. – Oxford Community Center/Jimmy Lee Recreation Center
270 N. Lexington Parkway


4:00 p.m. – All buses leave the basecamp
