Simley Island Park is a 3-acre park wedged between two of Inver Grove Heights' busiest thoroughfares. The island, a few feet off the shore of Simley Lake, is reached via a small bridge.
Things to do at Simley Island Park
Pick up a lunch at the shopping center across the street and enjoy it at the small picnic shelter on the island. The space is planted with pollinator-friendly wildflowers. This park participates in the city's fishing tackle loaner program; if you're in need of fishing gear, call the park directly. There is a pier on the island where you might be able to catch sunfish, crappies, perch, large and smallmouth bass, northern pike and more.

Park notes: There is no dedicated parking lot at this park. Instead, there are spaces across the street at the Simley Lake Shopping Center. You will need to cross a busy street without a crosswalk to access the one trail onto the island. There is no playground or restroom facilities at this park.
