Lynnhurst Park and Recreation Center are located at the intersection of 50th St. W and Minnehaha Parkway. Family-friendly amenities include a wading pool, a playground and tot lot, sport courts and fields, a bike path with an air-pump station, and a Little Free Library. This park has available restrooms and drinking fountain. In the winter MPRB maintains skating and hockey rinks. Lynnhurst Park is adjacent to Burroughs Elementary school, so the wading pool opens after school releases and closes just prior to school resuming. Wading Pool Hours are 10:00 am to 9:00 pm daily, unless temperatures are 85 degrees or higher at 6 p.m. In that case, the pool remains open until 10:00 pm. This is an air conditioned recreation center. Other amenities include a community kitchen, a craft room, a gym and meeting and multi-purpose rooms.
