Lorraine Park is a community gathering space for families of South St. Paul. Half of the park is shaded with stands of large oak trees making it a cool spot on a hot day. It is conveniently located close to 494 between Hwy 52 & the Mississippi River. The park may be best known for its colorful splash pool (see more below). Other park amenities include two large picnic shelters, horseshoe pits, a sand volleyball court, and play equipment. During the winter months, kids can skate on a boarded hockey rink with warming house. Lorraine Park is also home to McGuire Field hosting a variety of baseball leagues. The interactive zero-depth entry pool is ideal for little waders, containing a slide, sprayers and changing facilities. There’s even a concession stand. The splash pool is open daily during the summer from 12:30-7pm for all ages, Toddler Time 11am-12:30pm weekdays.
