Lake Waconia Regional Park is a 160-acre park in Waconia Minnesota, managed by Carver County. Family-friendly amenities include a beach, space to picnic with grills and a boat launch. Weather permitting, there is an 80-foot sledding hill in the winter months. It is the site of Independence Day Fireworks in July.

  1. Swim in Lake Waconia at the park’s beach. It is well maintained and was most-recently updated in 2008.
  2. Walk around Lake Waconia park. The trail loop is just under a mile.

Waterfront Service Center at Lake Waconia Regional Park

In October of 2022, Carver County broke ground on the waterfront service center. The new building will offer lakeshore access and restrooms to visitors using the beach and picnic areas, trails, and other site amenities. There will also be event space and rental concessions for private events.

The anticipated completion date will be in fall 2023. The park will remain open during construction.
