Highlands Park is a 40 acre park on the shore of Highlands Lake in Edina. It has family-friendly amenities that include a playground, space to picnic, a pond and sports fields and courts. Benches and the picnic tables are conveniently located around the playground area.  In the winter, Edina maintains an ice rink with warming house at this park. The park has a large off-street parking lot with room for over 4 dozen vehicles.

Bring a playground ball when visiting this park. There is quite a bit of well-maintained green space in this park for playing soccer and other field sports/

  1. Play a game of kickball on the baseball field or just practice baseball skills together.
  2. Play outdoor games, like dodgeball or soccer on in the green space.
  3. Pack a picnic for an outdoor lunch-and-play date.
  4. Run around the playground area. The equipment is compact but offers a continuous play set up. There is a park bench under a shady tree for parents who want to rest while the kids run off their energy.
