Harmon Park Reserve is a 43-acre undeveloped natural space. The highlight of the park reserve is 4.3 miles of mountain biking trails divided into three loops of lengths ranging from .7-3.6 miles. The longest loop travels through areas of hardwood and prairie restoration. Because the winding trails are shared with hikers, they are all one-way. They are also fairly flat and good for beginner mountain bikers who want to improve their braking and cornering skills. There is a large mounted map of the trails near the parking lot and the A-loop trail. Park notes:Â Locating the mountain bike trails is a little tricky. The park reserve is adjacent to Salem Hills Park, a 41-acre neighborhood park near Salem Hills Elementary. When navigating, enter Salem Hills Park as your destination. You will park in the lot under the city water tower. For other park users, there is a playground, tennis courts and a ball field.
