Franklin Steele Square offers a variety of recreational activities, including a splash pad, a playground and tot lot, and picnic areas. Franklin Steele participates in the summer meals program, offering free weekday meals to children under 18 years old. A snack is served from 3:00 p.m to 4:00 p.m. and Dinner is from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Summer meals run from mid-June through mid-August. Please call ahead to confirm this program. The splash pad is open daily from Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day. It is free to use between the hours 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
