Experience the joys of sailing and create lasting memories with your family at White Bear Sailing School in Dellwood. Located on White Bear Lake in Dellwood, Minnesota, White Bear Sailing School (“WBSS) is a non profit sailing school with a mission to “foster the knowledge, practice and the art of sailing”. US Sailing-certified instructors offer instruction, race teams and summer camps for kids, teens and adults interested in sailing.
About White Bear Sailing School
WBSS introduces people of all ages to the legacy and art of the sport of sailing, offering a variety of fun activities, sailing classes and camps and competition. The objective of WBSS programs is to help create skilled and confident sailors who will respect others, care for their equipment, and are willing to help fellow sailors on and off the water. To that end, they strive to instill and enhance each student’s sense of self-reliance, knowledge of seamanship with a solid foundation in the sport of sailing.
Summer Sailing Camp
Summer programs offer instruction for children, teens, and adults of all levels, from beginning sailing through advanced racing. Summer classes are available for a variety of age groups, including: Opti All-Day Camps ages 7-11. Opti Learn-to-Race and Race Team ages 7-15. 420 All-Day Camps and Learn-To-Race ages 12-17. 420 Race Team ages 13-18. Adult Sailing Fundamentals and Adult Sailing Advanced 18+.
White Bear Sailing School also offers fall/spring Scholastic sailing for grades 7-12 and fall/spring Opti Race team for 5th and 6th grades.
