Located in the Frogtown neighborhood of St. Paul, West Minnehaha Recreation Center offers family friendly activities including family open gym and tot times. It is the only recreation center in St. Paul to offer a special needs tot time. See our Special Needs Shortlist for this and other ideas.
West Minnehaha Recreation Center
The recreation center has a fitness center, handball court and gym. there is also a a large craft room, kitchen and meeting rooms. The multi-purpose room has foosball, arcade basketball, air hockey and video games. Find free open game times in the seasonal activity brochure. Besides sports courts and fields, the outdoor area has a playground and picnic area for families to enjoy.
Free Summer Meals & Summer Blast
Many Saint Paul rec centers participate in the free summer meals program, which runs from mid-June to late August. Specific hours are for each rec center are released in June at the link above.
Summer Blast is a free summer program for grade school kids that offers activities and snacks each weekday in the summer. This program does require registration.
Birthday parties at West Minnehaha Recreation Center
