Hands-on engineering exhibits, kid-friendly workshops, and the chance for kids to build, design and problem solve, all make the Works Museum a fantastic place for families to visit.
The Works Museum is a hands-on engineering and design museum in Bloomington MN. It has exhibits, programs, and design challenges that engage kids in science, technology, and engineering while making learning memorable and fun. Both older kids and tots love the Works for its hands-on activities and science fun.

Special events at The Works
Each year The Works offers a few signature events and workshops that focus on particular aspects of science. Learn more and find tickets on the Works Website, including Tech Fest, Robot Day, Girl Time and SHE Engineers, as well as Engineering for All.
Birthday parties at the The Works
Birthday party packages can be booked for 90 minutes or 2 hours, admission for up to 10 children and free admission for all adults, and all set up and clean up. The two hour package includes choice of an adult-led activity. Families can order pizza from Papa Johns (20% off for party orders) to serve at the party. Bring your own cake. Family Engineering Night program
Ideal for home school groups, scouts or church groups, Family Engineering Nights are STEM workshops offered to groups ranging from 75 to 600 people. Facilitators provide the space and the volunteers and museum staff bring the rest. You can add on a Papa John’s order during the event and get a 20% discount on your order.
Summer camps at the The Works
The museum offers Engineering and Design Day Camps for kids ages 5 through 12 during June, July and August, with half-day and whole day options that include topics like robotics, architecture, coding, LEGO engineering, and carpentry.
