Website Ojibway Park
Ojibway Park in Woodbury has several family-friendly amenities, including a skate park, a playground with both accessible and “destination” play structures, a boardwalk, and space for picnics with grills. There are also a variety of sports courts, paved and unpaved trails and winter recreation amenities. The park building has restrooms and there is off-street parking with space for 260 vehicles. The city hosts year-round special events at this park, including Woodbury’s annual egg hunt in spring.
The skate plaza was designed with the help of local youth. It was designed to feel like street skating with quite a bit of open skate space.

Ideas for family fun at Ojibway Park
- Play on the playgrounds. There are a couple playgrounds to choose from, and the new accessible playground has some fun elements, like a rotating net climber. It looks like a large hamster-ball, but it works like a merry-go-round.
- Skate. Bring your skateboards. This park is home to Woodbury’s public skate park.
- Pack a picnic. There are 6 picnic tables and an open air shelter at this park. There are also grills available.
- Practice baseball or bring a playground ball for kickball.
- Play some dodgeball or practice soccer in the green space.
- Bring a volleyball. The park has 2 sand volleyball courts
- Toss some horseshoes.
- Take a walk. The park has both paved and unpaved trails
- Ice skate or cross country ski in the winter.
Starlight Cinema summer movies
Ojibway Park is the site of Woodbury’s free summer movie program, Starlight Cinema. The series brings popular family movies to the park on a two-story inflatable screen with stadium speakers. Movies begin at dusk with activities prior to the screening. The public is encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs for seating. We also suggest using whatever form of bug repellent you prefer.
Winter at Ojibway Park
In the winter this park maintains cross country ski trails and a lighted ice rinks with a warming house. Rinks are open, dependent on weather, from late December through the end of February. The City of Woodbury weather line — (651) 714-3569 — has up-to-date information regarding closures. Warming house hours are from 4-9pm on weekdays (including school release days) and and 1-9pm on weekends.
