The National Sports Center in Blaine is one of the top ten tourist destinations in Minnesota. Besides hosting national sporting events from a variety of sports, the center hosts community events and activities. Look for fitness classes, expos and community events throughout the year.
The National Sports Center’s Schwan Super Rink
With eight sheets of ice, the Schwan Super Rink is the worlds largest ice arena and has leagues and tournaments for all ages for figure skating, ice hockey and broom ball. Lessons are offered for all skill levels from beginners through advanced.
GOOD TO KNOW Cell phone usage is banned in Super Rink locker rooms.
Public skate at The National Sports Center
Public skate hours are offered on select Saturdays and Sundays. Parents should know that, while open skate hours are open to skaters of all ages, it may be best for advanced skaters. Skate aids are not allowed on the ice and adult chaperones are required for participants ages 10 and under. Skate rentals are available for an additional fee at the front desk.
Summer camps & programming
The National Sports Center offers developmental camps for a variety of sports, including a Next Level hockey camp option. Camps available for kids ages 2-13. Camp summer sessions start in May and run through the summer.
