Mears Park is located in downtown Saint Paul and features a stream running diagonally through the park. The park has a covered bandshell that hosts concerts and festivals throughout the year.
Ideas for family fun at Mears Park
- Attend a concert or community festival at the bandshell. During the summer Music in Mears and the Twin Cities Jazz Festival both host Free Summer Concerts at this park.
- Line up to view the annual Saint Paul St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The parade traditionally stars in Mears and ends by CHS Field.
- Enjoy the holiday lights that decorate the park each December.
- Pack a picnic to enjoy in the park on a sunny afternoon. Then take a stroll through Saint Paul’s Lowertown district.
- Explore the gardens & stream that runs through the park. You might want to pack a change of clothes if you plan to let your kids really explore the stream.
