The Maple Grove Community Center is a family-friendly recreational facility with an indoor water park, playground, ice arena, gymnasium and a free outdoor skate park. Both memberships and daily passes are available for use of the indoor facilities.

Maple Maze Indoor Playground

Maple Maze is an indoor playground with a jungle theme for kids ages 12 and under. It features a rock wall, a pogo stick and a 2-level tree house with four slides and climbing tubes. There is a separate toddler area reserved for children ages 3 and under.

Maple Maze hours & pricing

  • Open Play hours: Mon-Sat 9am – 8pm, Sun 10am – 6pm.
  • Admission $6.50/pp. Admission is charged for all children between the ages of 1 and 12. Adults and babies under age 1 are not charged, but the playground is not open to children older than 12.
  • Discounts Discounts for Military & MERSC.

Grove Cove Aquatic Center

The Grove Cove Aquatic Center is the swimming area of the Maple Grove Community Center. It features two indoor pools and an outdoor pool. The indoor leisure pool maintains a warm temperature for swimming. It has a 130-foot water slide, a zero-depth beach area. For the smaller kids, it has sprayers and a tot slide. There is also an indoor pool dedicating to swimming laps.

The outdoor water park has a lazy river feature, tumble buckets, a log walk. It also has a tot slide and water sprays for the smaller kids.

Grove Cove Aquatic Center hours & pricing

  • Pool schedules are posted on the aquatics page monthly. Open swimming is not always available during open hours because availability is subject to swim lessons.
  • The community center offers pool memberships, daily rates and family rates.

Maple Grove Community Center Indoor Ice Arena

The indoor Ice Arena includes an Olympic-size and an NHL-size rink. While the arena is rented by local groups, open skating times are also offered.

Maple Grove Community Center Skate Park

The free Skate Plaza is located just outside the community center on Weaver Lake Road and is open to  skateboarders, in-line skaters, BMX bikers and scooters. Park features include a mini taco, stairs, banks, grind rails, hubba ledges and manual pad. There is seating for parents who do not want to participate. The Maple Grove Skate Plaza is open from 6am – 10pm, daily.

Birthday parties at Maple Grove Community Center

Choose between a Maple Maze private birthday party or a basic package that includes a private room during public hours or private use of Maple Maze. The basic birthday party package also includes 10 all-building wristbands, so guests can access the indoor playground, pool and gym during public hours. A private rental can host up to 24 guests.

Maple Grove Community Center membership

Memberships are available at both resident and non-resident rates for just the Grove Cove Aquatic Center or the whole community center. Both memberships offer full access to the pools and water park, but the full membership also gives access to other features like the gym and indoor playground.

Coming updates to the Community Center

Maple Grove will be updating and expanding the community center in the the next few years. The process will consist mainly of design work in 2023 with construction in 2024 and 2025 and anticipated completion by 2026. Maple Grove will also be adding more space for senior programs and updating the infrastructure of the building. Family-friendly updates include:

  • New pools with new family locker rooms
  • A walking track
  • A third sheet of ice
  • Space for arts programming
  • Expanded event space for private events like birthday parties
