The Lake Superior Zoo is a nice, medium-sized attraction that you can enjoy with kids without completely wiping them out – meaning you can combine a day at the zoo with another fun outing(s) in Duluth. Ideal for any season, the zoo has both indoor exhibits and the outdoor zoo animal trail. 140+ species of animals call the Duluth Zoo home including deer, kangaroos, big cats like lions and tigers, and a petting barnyard with goats, sheep and llamas. There’s also a small outdoor playground and picnic space.
