Concordia Language Villages is a sleep-away language immersion camp for children ages 6 to 18 years old to experience different cultures. It is a little like being an exchange student without leaving the country. Campers can choose between one-week, two-week and four-week sessions, with camp options between June and August.
Concordia Language Villages is a recognized leader in global education, offering language and cultural programs in 18 languages. Every year, Concordia Language Villages engages thousands of youth, educators and adults from across the United States in language and cultural learning. Whether in a world-class immersion camp setting in the North Woods of Minnesota or high-engagement virtual programs, youth and adults at all levels of language proficiency who seek to “live the language” can take part in programs as short as a weekend or as long as a lifetime journey.
Concordia Language Villages summer camps
Camps (called “Villages”) offer immersion into languages and cultures for kids of all proficiency levels. Kids (called “villagers”) will feel like they are visiting a new country. They will get a Village passport stamped and have their spending money exchanged at customs, where they will also receive cabin assignments and have a proficiency assessment. Meals are cooked from scratch and reflect the culture the campers are studying.
Campers can choose immersion camps in the following 15 languages: Arabic, Chinese, Danish, English, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish & Swedish.
