Bottineau Field Park offers family-friendly amenities, including a playground, a recreation center, a wading pool, a skate park and a domed fieldhouse.
Bottineau Field Park Recreation Center
The rec center offers drop-in arts & crafts, board games, computer lab, foosball, and gym games. Families can find a variety of programs, activities, and events for this center.
Bottineau Field Park wading pool
Because of Bottineau’s proximity to New Vision; its wading pool opens after the close of school for summer break in and closes before the start of the new term. The pool is free to use between the hours 10 am to 9 pm daily in the summer. There are no lifeguards on duty.
Summer Meals at Bottineau Field Park
This park has participated in the summer meals program. The program usually runs from mid-June to mid-August. Children can usually get a free weekday meal between 5 pm and 6 pm. Please all ahead to confirm this program.
Bottineau Skate Park
Bottineau is home to one of the six Minneapolis Park’s skate parks. Skaters like its smooth concrete surface and variety. It is also close to a water fountain and the parking lot. However they feel it lacks flow. I can attest to that; I found it hard to navigate as a beginner. (But then I find a straight line hard to navigate). MPRB is in the beginning stages of a 20-year plan to improve and expand its skate parks.
