Beebe Lake Regional Park is in St. Michael, Minnesota, and managed by Wright County. Family-friendly amenities include a playground and space to picnic, a lovely beach and fishing areas and trails for biking and hiking. There is no vehicle fee for this park and there is a parking lot near the beach. There are also modern restrooms located near the beach. Restrooms and shelters are only open May through September, and a caretaker is on duty during these months.
Beebe Lake Beach
The park has a popular unguarded beach with nearby restrooms and shady areas where you can spread your blanket. Visitors like that it is clean and the water is clear. The sand covers both the shore of the beach and the roped in areas of the water. The county has enacted a 5mph speed limit for boats in the area of the beach, keeping the wake down. (I always loved the wake waves when I was a kid, but if you have smaller children, you might appreciate this. A few safety things to keep in mind:
- It is unguarded
- It may be geared more toward bigger kids and adults as it gets deep in areas
- There is a dock in the beach area that kids enjoy jumping off
Beebe Lake Regional Park playground
The playground at Beebe Lake Regional Park has Biba Smart technology incorporated. Parents with the app on their smartphone can scan signs on the equipment to help with ideas to enhance the play experience for their kids.

Biking at Beebe Lake Regional Park
For those interested in biking near or into the park, a dedicated paved trail of approximately five miles connects Beebe Lake to the city of Hanover. Its terminus near the historic Hanover Bridge spanning the Crow River is very scenic.
Beebe Lake fishing
If you are serious about fishing, you may want to note that the fishing pier is located awfully close to the beach area. According to the MN DNR, you will find a variety of fish species in this lake, including bullhead, crappie, bluegill, sunfish, largemouth bass, northern pike, pumpkinseed, walleye, yellow perch, and common carp. Bringing the family dog to Beebe Lake Regional Park
If you are coming for a day at the beach or a picnic, this is not the best park to bring your dog. Dogs are not allowed in the beach area, park buildings, or day use picnic areas. Pets are allowed on the 1½-mile walking trail, subject to the usual leash and clean-up restrictions.
Birthday parties at the park
This park has a reservable shelter for birthday parties and other private events. The cost is $50/day and reserves the shelter from 8 a.m. to sunset. Book your reservation here.
