Description
Viking Fest promises to be a “bold new celebration of Viking heritage, Norse mythology, and living history”. The festival spans the first two weekends of October and takes place at the Dakota County Fairgrounds in Farmington complete with live entertainment, arts and crafts, storytelling, axe throwing, archery, weapons training, puzzle quests, blacksmithing, combat training, weaving, woodworking, historic cooking, and more. Immerse yourself in the daily life of the Viking people – visiting encampments, interacting with their residents, learning and playing, browsing an artisan marketplace and feasting on authentic Nordic fare. Viking Fest special events
Additional events taking place during Viking Fest Minnesota that require a separate ticket:
- Ragnarök, a 21+ afterparty that takes place each Saturday night from 6:30pm to 11:30pm. Tickets to Viking Fest Minnesota are NOT required to purchase Ragnarök tickets.
- Viking Feast, a theater in the round style dinner theater with either a 2 course or 4 course meal. Tickets to Viking Fest Minnesota ARE required to access the Viking Feast.
- Mead Tour, try lots of meads, be entertained, what more is there? Tickets can only be purchased on-site during Ragnarök.
