Description
Winter festival activities at Scandia’s annual winter festival include a pancake breakfast, sledding outing and a snow sculpture contest. Gammelgarden Museum hosts kid-friendly crafts; fireworks at dusk. See our full schedule of Vinterfest events. Full festival runs January 23-25, 2026.

Saturday, January 24
- 8-11am | Community pancake breakfast – Scandia Community Center
- 8am-11pm | The Minnesotan Cup Hockey Tournament – Wojtowicz Skating Park
- 10am-12pm | Kids Snowshoe & Scavenger Hunt Adventure – Gammelgarden Museum
- 10am-3pm | Sledding – Elim Lutheran Church
- 10am-4pm | Kids Cozy Fort, kicksledding & bonfire – Barton Johnson Memorial Park
- 11am | Toddler Dance Party – Barton Johnson Memorial Park
- 11am | Vinterfest Medallion Hunt begins
- 11:30am-2:30pm | Make-a-Winter-Crown with Franconia – Community Center
- 12-1pm | Snow Sculpture Contest – Community Center
- 12:30-3:30 | Crafts at Gammelgarden, meet sled dogs & board games
- 1:30-3:30pm | Scandia Trivia & Children’s Activities – with the Hay Lake Museum & Washington Historical Society
- 2-3:30pm | Meet ‘n Greet Washington County Sheriff dept – Community Center playground
- 2-4pm | Meet the Raptors of the Wildlife Science Center – Gammelgarden
- 5-7pm | Chili Cook-off – Elim
- 6-6:30pm | Fire dancers – Community Center
