In honor of Earth Day, drop into the Sally Mazara Interpretive Nature Center for a special MASH-UP of programming in collab with the Bell Museum. All activities are free and appropriate for families with kids. See our complete schedule of programming.

Bell Museum Basics

• Engineer a Bird Beak – Design your own bird’s beak and explore how different shapes have evolved to eat different foods.
• Mini BioBlitz – Evaluate the biodiversity of an area with the City Nature Challenge by iNaturalist (Master Naturalists on hand to orient you in using this app)

Garden & Greens 

• Germination Station – Explore types of seeds and build a take-home germination kit
• Soil Cores – Observe natural soil layerings

All About Astronomy 

• Aurora Art – Examine the beauty of night sky auroras for artwork inspiration
• Rocket Engineers – Design your own rocket for launch

H2-Woah! 

• Cloud Exploration – Learn all about different cloud types. Create your cloud and a pop-up cloud booklet.
• Water Filtering – Experiment with different materials to see how to filter dirty water
