Description
Families, kids, and the young at heART, join Mia on the second Sunday of each month for a special free event. Family Day finds the museum filled with hands-on art activities, storytelling, artist demonstrations, gallery hunts, self-guided tours and more — all inspired by Mia’s incredible collection. Hungry? Food trucks are on site during family days. Admission is always free to the museum.
Elements of Art Family Fun:
In July, explore the seven elements of art — line, shape, color, form, value, space, and texture with these fun activities:
- Participate in a STEAM activity outside
- Learn about pottery, paintings, photos, and more in the galleries
- Create your own art using the 7 elements with Mia’s teaching artists
- Learn about natural dye processes
