Description
Bring the family to enjoy planting and harvesting seasons in the JD Rivers’ Children’s Garden, a produce garden within Theodore Wirth Park. Events are occasionally offered where families can get digging in the dirt, all free of charge.
SPRING 2026! Family Planting Day Help get JD Rivers’ Garden growing for the season. Bring the family and help plant seeds and seedlings that will grow into various produce plants including tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, herbs, carrots, greens, and more. Gardeners will be there to guide the planting process, children of all ages are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult. Feel free to come for the full 2 hours or stop in anytime you are able between 10am and 12pm.
