Independent Bookstore Day is celebrated on the last Saturday in April — April 25th in 2026 — and is a fun opportunity to visit our favorite local bookshops. Each year, Rain Taxi organizes a bookstore crawl where families can get “passport” stamps at participating stores. See how many stamps you can get this year!
Pick up a passport at any participating bookstore during the week proceeding Independent Bookstore Day. Then start collecting stamps. There will be fun activities and author readings at many of the bookstores as well as discounts and special Independent Bookstore Day items.
