Description
Tapestry Folkdance Center hosts a monthly Family Dance on the second Saturday of each month (excluding July and August). Try some simple, easy-to-learn dances from the British Isles and America taught by a Tapestry caller. All ages are welcome! Dances will include group circle and langways dances and play-party (singing) games. Cost is $8/adults; $4/ages 10-17; 9 & under FREE (or pay-what-you-can).
Tapestry tells us:
This is a monthly community folk-dance for families and kids of all ages. There is live music with a caller teaching and leading the dance. All dances are selected to be age appropriate to kids and beginners. It’s very easy-going with no pressure to dance and many beginners are usually present. The dance is 90 minutes with a snack break, but families are welcome to drop in late or leave early.
