Frosted outdoor activities at Apple Valley’s Mid-Winter Fest include: horse-drawn wagon rides, garden cart rides from the police department, snowshoeing, frozen kite flying, fire department open house, live music, and fireworks. There is so much to choose from at this winter festival in the Minneapolis-St Paul SE Metro – see our schedule.
2026 Apple Valley Mid-Winter Fest family events
- 9am | Medallion Hunt
- 10am-3pm | Mite Hockey Jamboree
- 4-5:30pm | KidsDance DJ
- 4-6pm | Garden cart rides & horse-drawn wagon rides
- 4-6:30 | Coloring contest, mascots, 3-hole disc golf course, snowshoeing, recycling bin racing & frozen kite flying
- 4-7pm | Sledding & ice skating (sleds provided, BYO skates)
- 4-7pm | Meet the Apple Valley Police & Fire Departments
- 4-7pm | Smores, food trucks, beverages for purchase
- 7-7:15pm | Fireworks finale
