Description
Spend the International Day of the Girl Child cekebratug courage, creativity, competence and connection with other middle and high school girls and gender-expansive youths. Best for grades 6-12 (ages 12+) and parents are invited to the Trailblazers Rising session. FREE, but Registration required.
Activities Include:
- 8:30 a.m. – Registration + Welcome Breakfast
- 9:00 a.m. – Welcome Remarks
- 9:05 a.m. – Mini-Talk: Being Unapologetically You
- 9:15 a.m. – Networking Activity
- 10:00 a.m. – Breakout Session
- 11:00 a.m. – Lunch, Marketplace, STEM Stations, Community Resources
- 11:50 a.m. – A Day in the Life: Career & Mentor Presentations
- 1:00 p.m. – Keynote: Luvvie Ajayi Jones + Q/A (In partnership with Girl Scouts River Valleys)
- 2:20 p.m. – Trailblazer Rising: Youth Talks
- 3:20 p.m. – Closing Remarks & Reflections
- 3:30 p.m. – Adjourn
