Minneapolis Visitor Information is a physical location of the Meet Minneapolis initiative. While its purpose is to attract visitors to Minneapolis, it can be a good place for local families to find information, too. The location includes a retail space, transit information and visitor information.

The shop includes three services in one location. Families can choose to:

  • Shop for  Minneapolis- and Minnesota-themed apparel, art, foods, souvenirs and gifts, including many made by local artisans. This could be the place to bring your out-of-town guest who wants Minneapolis memorabilia.
  • Get answers to questions from Meet Minneapolis staff or grab maps and visitor information.

First Thursdays at Minneapolis Visitor Information

On the first Thursday of every month at Minneapolis Visitor Information will showcase local artists and their merchandise as well as local organizations and events in Minneapolis. Everyone is welcome.

Where Did The Mary Tyler Moore Statue Go?

The Minneapolis visitor center was only the temporary location of the iconic Mary Tyler Moore statue. After construction was complete on Nicollet Mall, it returned to its original location a few blocks south in front of the old Dayton’s Department Store building.
