History of Holz Farm

It was originally settled by the Holz family in 1870s and, impressively, stayed in the Holz family until 1993. The property remained in the family until 1993 with the passing of Otto and Ella Holz. Through a grassroots campaign by neighbors, the park was created.

Annual Events at Holz Farm Park

The farm offers annual festivals that families may enjoy: These include Spring and Fall Festivals and an Old Fashioned Holiday event. Expect down-on-the farm fun with a little bit of history mixed in! Find the current year line up on Eagan’s website.

    1. Hi Caroline. We are not associated with Holz Farm, you’ll want to follow the link at the top of this page to the City of Eagan’s site for that. However, we can answer your question. The farm does not have a petting area except sometimes during special festivals usually held in the spring and fall. It looks like both of these festivals were cancelled in 2020.
