There is plenty of parking and space to launch a boat or fish from a pier.

Long Lake Park playgrounds

The playground at Long Lake Park is constructed mostly of metal with a wood chip floor. While there is playground equipment designed for all ages of children, the tot equipment is very close to the other equipment and is tempting for the toddlers. If you are nervous about taller slides, you’ll want to be ready to chase them up. This playground kept my kids, ranging from toddler to preteen, entertained for our entire visit. Our favorite feature was the various centrifugal spinners around the playground. Whether they were playing on the large one pictured below or one of the many smaller spinners, these were a hit with everyone — including mom and dad.

The beach area contains many of the park’s 32 picnic tables, but others are further away if you want to escape the swim area to eat. Note that leashed pets may not be brought on the beach or into any picnic areas. This park has more than three miles of paved trails.
