Panther Day Camp at Mounds Park Academy

Summer at MPA is filled with wonder, discovery, and joy. From the moment campers step on campus, they’re surrounded by opportunities to explore, create, and connect in meaningful ways. Each day is designed to spark curiosity, nurture friendships, and celebrate the spirit of learning that defines MPA—all within a safe, supportive, and fun environment. However your family designs your summer, it’s always an unforgettable experience at MPA. Panther Camp is a summer program that offers care throughout the summer.

The program’s goal is to provide campers with a high-quality, joyful, and engaging program in the context of a safe environment. These camp programs offer weekly activity themes that allow students to explore nature, science, art, and so much more. You can register for daily, half–day, and weekly Panther Camp options. Panther Camp is available 7:30 AM-5:30 PM and lunch is available for purchase. A robust selection of Summer Enrichment Programs offers students the opportunity to extend their learning through engaging classes in the arts, sciences, music, academics, athletics and so much more. The majority of the summer Enrichment Classes fall during two weeks in June, with other opportunities spread throughout the summer. Free extended day care is available before and after summer classes. Families are able to weave together a combination of Panther Camp and Enrichment Programs to craft the perfect summer experience. Ages 5-18. $75/day, with discounts for full weeks. Additional programs starting at $110 for a week of activities, sports, art, or STEM learning. Register for camp here.

The Works Museum Summer Camps

Our camps for kids ages 4-12 include topics like robotics, architecture, coding, LEGO engineering, carpentry, and more. With half-day, whole-day, 1-day, and 4-day options, there’s a summer camp that will fit your family’s schedule.

Summer Smash Summer Camp at YWCA Minneapolis offers a fun, engaging full-day summer experience for children in grades K–4. In a safe, supportive and multicultural environment, campers spend their days exploring, creating and building confidence through meaningful play and learning.

Each week features a mix of hands-on STEAM activities, arts and crafts, music, reading time and outdoor play. Campers explore science projects, learn about global cultures through interactive experiences and enjoy games and playground time that encourage movement and teamwork. Daily schedules balance structured learning with opportunities for creativity, curiosity and social connection. Summer Smash is designed to support working families, with full-day programming and nutritious breakfast, lunch and snacks included to keep campers energized throughout the day. Camps are offered at multiple YWCA Minneapolis locations across the city, making it easy for families to find a convenient option. Steve & Kate’s Camp

When you trust kids, they trust themselves. Since 1980 Steve & Kate’s Camp has trusted kids to choose their own activities and plan their own days in real-time. Whether campers are designing, building, coding, creating, baking, dancing, playing, eating, sewing, skipping—it’s all on their own schedule. Because when you empower children to make their own choices and be their own bosses, the children discover new reserves of confidence, resiliency, and creativity–all while learning to make course corrections and trust themselves as they go.

Snapology STEAM Summer Camps

Snapology’s summer camps teach STEAM concepts like robotics, engineering, animation and architecture in a playful and creative way while reinforcing teamwork along the way. Sessions run all summer, June through early September. $200-$375/session.

Great River School Summer Camp

Bakken Museum Summer Camps

Bakken Museum offers a half-day Young Makers camp for kids entering grades 2-3. Kids entering grades 4-9 can participate in Camp Innovation, running a full week, 9am-4pm. Cost is $225-$480. 2026 registration opens at noon on January 28, 2026.

Designed for the youngest Ninjas ages 5-7, this Camp allows ninjas to dive deep into the world of game design and development using Minecraft® and Roblox®.
