Website Cottageville Park

Finalized in 2015, Cottageville Park in Hopkins is a relatively young park which was developed to both improve the environment and the be a neighborhood gathering space. It has family friendly amenities that include a good size playground, space for picnicking with a grill, a walking trail and sports courts and fields. Benches and a drinking fountain are situated near the playground. Restrooms are on a timer system and open from dawn to dusk. This park is located in a triangle between two roads and Minnehaha Creek; there is limited parking available.

The playground is large, colorful and unique. It includes a wooden hut-like structure for kids to climb. Some of the equipment is situated on a woodchip floor while other portions are on turf.

Minnehaha Creek runs through Cottageville Park

Kids can walk right up to the shore of the creek in places so, depending on age, you may need to watch the little ones closely. However, the green space between the playground and the creek is large enough that you can probably catch up to the fastest tot before they make it to the edge. Bigger kids and adults will enjoy walking the creekside trail to try to view wildlife.

Birthday parties at Cottageville Park

The picnic shelter can be reserved for birthday parties and other private events from between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Reservations can be made by calling 952-939-8390 or download an application at eminnetonka.com (Search “Picnic Shelters”).
