Bald Eagle-Otter Lakes Regional Park is the home of TAMARACK NATURE CENTER and DISCOVERY HOLLOW Nature Playground. There is also a traditional playground. The park spans both sides of Bald Eagle Lake and is split into two parts. The east side is called Bald Eagle Park and the west side is Otter Lake Park. The nature center is found on the south end of the park. There are over four miles of trails (paved, turf and boardwalk-style). It provides nearby access to forests, prairies and ponds to families from the Twin Cities. There is no entrance fee and parking is free. Parking can be found near the nature center on the south end of the park, by the boat launch area and near the off-leash dog area.
Birthday Parties at Bald Eagle-Otter Lakes Regional Park
Families who want to throw a birthday party at this park can rent the 60-person shelter. The shelter has 8 picnic tables, electricity and 2 grills. It sits near the parking lot with room for 76 cars. Find more party in the park ideas here.
Dogs at Bald Eagle-Otter Lakes Regional Park
Leashed Pets are allowed at Ramsey County Parks. However, they may not be brought into any picnic areas nor are the allowed on the grounds of Tamarack Nature Center, including the hiking trails. This park does have a dedicated off-leash dog area and many locals consider it a nice place to walk a dog. Rules and details can be found HERE.
There is No Public Bald Eagle Lake Beach
This park does not offer a beach and neither does Birch Park, which is a park managed by the City of White Bear Lake also situated on Bald Eagle Lake.
