For over one hundred years, Como Regional Park has been St Paul’s most prized public park. Its sprawling 450 acres includes Como Lake and historic lakeside pavilion, an excellent free zoo & conservatory, a swimming complex, golf courses (including a miniature golf course), athletic fields, a woodland outdoor classroom, miles of walking and biking trails, a permanent amusement park, an antique carousel, a playground, winter recreation facilities, and picnic space.

Park Features:

Como Park Mini-Golf

Enjoy a round of golf at the recently renovated course, managed by Wheel Fun Rentals. We do miss some of the old classic mini golf obstacles that were included in the original course. What remains are mostly simple putting greens. However, a brand new set of nine holes has been added to the existing 18 if you’re up for a bit more of a challenge. We like this course because, fter your golf game, you can head over to the zoo, the conservatory, carousel or any of Como’s other fun amenities.
Admission: $6-$7 for 9 holes, $8-$10 for 18 holes & $10-$12 for a whopping 27 holes.
Discounts: Purchase an annual pass for $12 and play half-price for the rest of the season.
Open: May – September. See seasonal hours here.

  • Separate play area for toddlers and small children
  • Large swing bay overlooking fire pits.T

The playground has several picnic tables and shelters around it. There are also three fire rings that are available on a first-come, first served basis.

Como Regional Park Pool

Most years, Como Pool’s season runs from early June – Labor Day. Outdoor pools are subject to weather and other circumstances outside human control. We recommend checking the pool’s web-page before heading out for a day of swimming. This page also includes updated hours and fees.

The pool includes a standard sized (75 feet) six-lane lap pool, a one-meter diving board and diving platforms. Waterpark amenities include two basketball hoops, an aquatic climbing wall and aquatic zipline, a 400-foot lazy river and a children’s activity pool with family Slide. Life jackets are available to borrow. The park has locker rooms for men, women and families and a concession stand.

Cafesjian’s Carousel at Como Regional Park

Cafesjian’s Carousel was built in 1914 by Philadelphia Toboggan Company. It is known as PTC 33 because it is the 33rd machine they made. The company employed German immigrants to do most of the carving and painting. The word “toboggan” in the company name is an old term for roller-coaster, which was the company’s original product. Find Free Days Here. Because of the age and historical value of the carousel, operations are subject to weather and other factors. If you are visiting Como Park specifically to ride the carousel, we recommend checking the carousel’s website first.
