Caponi Art Park, Eagan
Caponi Art Park and Learning Center is a sculpture park in Eagan. Open May through October, the park is free to visit Tuesday through Sunday. It also offers special programming during the season. Bring some books to swap out because this park has a Little Free Library.
Bring a picnic and prepare to expend some energy exploring the 60 acres that make up this woodland sculpture garden. Art pops up in unexpected places, down meandering paths, and it begs for interpretation!
Caponi Art Park Events
During the open season, the park hosts a variety of family-friendly events including a Summer Performance Series, Theater in the Woods, CAP Super Saturdays, Hot Iron Pours and Leaf Fest. They also offer a Music & Beer event and Yoga in the Park. Note that the park discontinued the Medieval Fair in 2018, but replaced it with Leaf Fest.
Caponi Art Park Labyrinth Installation
In 2019, the park installed a new and improved labyrinth; using stones to replace the white painted lines from 2018. CAP recommends this article from the Smithsonian to learn more about the history and significance of labyrinths.
