The Twin Cities area is home to two locations of the Grand Slam sports & entertainment franchise: Burnsville in the southeast Metro and Coon Rapids in the northwest Metro. Both family fun centers offer similar sporty attractions and venues for birthday parties.

Grand Slam Sports in Burnsville is over 30,000 square feet dedicated to hours’ worth of fun for a wide range of ages. This is important when we’re trying to choose an outing that makes everyone happy from the preschooler to the teenager. Activities include laser tag (a big favorite with our teens and tweens), an 18-hole mini golf loosely themed after Pirates of the Caribbean, bumper cars, the X-treme Trampoline, batting cages, a Play Zone for kids 12 and under, and a full video arcade.
The Play Zone
The three-story Play Zone is a climbing obstacle course kids includes air cannons, slides, and obstacles to crawl through, over, and around. There is a separate toddler area. Parents can purchase 3 hours of time in the Play Zone for their kids for $6.95/child, comparable to other indoor playgrounds.
Grand Slam Play Packages
Grand Slam Burnsville offers a variety of unlimited play packages ranging from about $21-$27 per person. Each of these packages include an assortment of attractions and a $3 arcade card. Single-play pricing is also available. You can find all of the Burnsville location pricing information here.
Birthday parties at Grand Slam
Birthday party packages are available for parties with eight participants or more. The package pricing is very close to the walk-in non-party packages but include a slice of pizza and soda. Grand Slam Family Fun Center in Coon Rapids encompasses 45,000 square feet of family fun, and, like its cousin in Burnsville, includes laser tag, mini golf, batting cages, an arcade, a Play Zone and bumper cars. Setting it apart a little, this location also has a ninja course and, opening December 2025, a Valo Arena. Look for daily specials throughout the week such as $15 unlimited play on weekends from 6-9pm, a hit with older kids.
The Play Zone
The play zone is an indoor playground with a colosseum theme. It houses a jungle gym with the typical slides, tunnels and ladders, plus rolling logs, foam ball cannons, pogo sticks, obstacles and a bounce house. Kids can purchase 3 hours of unlimited play zone play for $5.95, making it comparable to the dedicated indoor playgrounds in the Twin Cities.

Birthday parties at Grand Slam
Birthday party packages include a pizza slice and a fountain drink and up to three hours of play for the same $20-$26 per guest price range. Parties are 3 hours. There is a 6-person minimum to qualify for party packages. To book a party, call: 763-427-1959.
