Plymouth Community Center (fka Plymouth Creek Center) is the home of the K.U.B.E. Indoor Playground, Hilde Performance Center, Plymouth Fieldhouse, and Millennium Garden. This grouping of recreational venues gives residents and visitors to Plymouth a space for special events and recreational activities. Family-friendly amenities include the K.U.B.E. Indoor Playground, a sensory room, a year-round walking track and two gyms. The facility also houses dance and fitness studios, an art gallery, a ballroom, a theater and a variety of multipurpose rooms, classrooms and gathering spaces.

K.U.B.E. Indoor Playground

Created for kids ages 2 to 12, the Kids Ultimate Backyard Experience (or the K.U.B.E) opened in January of 2022 as part of the updated Plymouth Community Center. Built to be the “ultimate backyard experience where the outside fun is brought indoors,” activities include:

  • Playground equipment
  • Giant slide
  • 28-foot climbing tower
  • Double loop slides
  • Climbing Wall
  • A special tot area for kids ages 2 to 5.

ADMISSION for the day is $6-$8 per child, depending on residency. Punch passes are available. Verify current admission prices and hours here.

The Sensory Room at Plymouth Community Center

The community center has a sensory room for anyone who is feeling overstimulated and needs a quiet environment.  It has some activity panels on the walls and a weighted lap pad available. Visitors can also check out sensory bags from the front desk that include noise-cancelling headphones, fidget gadgets and some verbal cue cards.

Art Gallery

An art gallery is on the first floor near the Event Wing doors and Fieldhouse entrance. We like small, public galleries like this for introducing small children to art in a low-pressure environment. Because they are free to visit in an easily-accessible building, visits can be short and frequent. Exhibits change out seasonally. Free and open to the public, daily 8am-8pm.

Open Gym programs

Both the Plymouth Community Center and the Fieldhouse dome offer open gym/play programs for kids and adults. Most equipment is provided during these drop-in programs. If you just want a walk or a jog, the indoor walking track is open daily, is free to use, and requires no registration. However, strollers are not allowed on this indoor track. The Fieldhouse offers specific open walking/jogging times when strollers are permitted. We link to schedules for all of these programs below.

Millennium Garden at Plymouth Community Center

The Millennium Garden is a scenic park on the grounds of the Community Center, created to be both beautiful and tranquil with a variety of flower trails, walkways and fountains. One portion of this hidden gem is a “labyrinth” created from grass and flat stones. Weather permitting, Millennium Garden may have a non-staffed ice rink open during the month of January. Look for open-air concerts in the summer.

Birthday parties at Plymouth Community Center

The center has rooms available for rent starting at reasonable hourly rates for both residents and non-residents. Spaces require a minimum of a 2-hour commitment. The Millennium Garden is also available for rental. However, it is geared more toward weddings and is priced accordingly.

Birthday parties are also available at the the K.U.B.E. Party rooms adjoin to the playground and are available to rent. PCC reserves early Sunday mornings for private playground rentals like birthday parties. Find more birthday party ideas here.
