Bryant Lake Regional Park in Eden Prairie is a 170 acre park, managed by Three Rivers Park District. Its natural environment consists of woodlands, grasslands, wetlands and rolling hills. This is a good park for hiking and nature-spotting. A range of recreational activities await families in the park, including disc golf on the 18-hole course and swimming in the sand-bottomed Bryant Lake.
The playground is located near the beach and has equipment that includes a climbing net structure and toddler equipment. Most Three Rivers play areas are not open year round, so we recommend checking the playground page (link below) for closures before heading out to avoid disappointment.
Swimming at Bryant Lake Regional Park
The Bryant Lake Regional Park beach is free, but unguarded, and is open between Memorial Day and Labor Day from 9am to 8pm.

Bryant Lake fishing with kids
The Minnesota DNR has designated Bryant Lake a Fishing in the Neighborhood (“FiN”) lake because it is ideal for beginners and children. Fish in this lake include: Bluegill, Crappie, Tiger Muskie, Northern Pike, Yellow Perch, Bullhead and Common Carp.
Bryant Lake Park Disc Golf
One of three pay disc golf courses in the Three Rivers district, Bryant Lake’s 18-hole golf course offers short and long tee boxes, scenic lake views and the infamous hole #17, where golfers throw their discs off a cliff to reach the basket. Certain holes have two baskets to give players an option. Availability is dependent on the weather and the condition of the course. Purchase of a daily or annual pass is required to use the disc golf course. If you are looking for a place to play free, check out Hyland Visitor Center or Lake Minnetonka Regional Park or visit our Disc Golf article for a list of Twin Cities disc golf courses.
Birthday parties at Bryant Lake Park Pavilion
The Water’s Edge Picnic Area can be rented for birthday parties and other private events. Rentals are all day (9am-9pm) and available from May through September (and sometimes earlier or later depending on weather). This pavilion offers electricity and a large grill. There are nearby drinking fountains and modern restrooms. Reserve online or call 763.559.6700 for more information.
Bryant Lake Dog Park
The off-leash dog park is 9-acres and fenced. It has a double-gated entry and includes an area for small dogs. Shelter and water are also available.
