Aquatore Park in Blaine has family friendly amenities that include a playground with a tot lot, paved trails and space for picnics with a grill. There are also sports fields and courts, and in the winter months a hockey rink. This park offers off-street parking and seasonal restrooms. The mature trees in this park offer plenty of shade in the open play areas.

Family Activities at Aquatore Park

Families can find events and activities at the Blaine Events site, I’ve found it is best to know your activity number because the search function in the activities registration is unreliable. Aquatore and Town Square Park split Blaine’s summer Performance in the Park series between them. Most of the kid bands play at Aquatore for day-time concerts.

Blaine Festival at Aquatore Park

The Blaine Festival is hosted at Aquatore. This annual community celebration is traditionally held the last full weekend of June. The festival showcases a wide variety of entertainment including a carnival, craft fair, petting zoo, magician, recreational activities, food, and live bands. The event is free, including parking and will be held rain or shine. Find more details and more June Festivals in our annual June Festival Guide.

Birthday Parties at Aquatore Park

The park has two large picnic shelters that can be reserved for rental for birthday parties and other private events. Prices depend on residency and whether you reserve for a whole day or a half day.

Bringing the Family Dog to Swanson Dog Park

If you plan to bring your dog on a visit to Aquatore, the City of Blaine requires all dogs to be on leashes when off their owner’s property. This includes parks. However, Aquatore has an off-leash dog area — Swanson Dog Park — where you can let your family dog run free. It is open during regular park hours.

Family Fun Idea: When you visit stop to admire the 6-foot chainsaw carving of a golden retriever created by local sculpture artist, Eddie Turner.
