As our own Joy Peters describes it in her full article, Doors Open Minneapolis with Kids, this weekend-long event is basically a city-wide open house with FREE, behind-the-scenes access to cool buildings. Some venues truly have their doors open all weekend for you to come get a peek while others require reserving tickets in advance. Many are better suited for adults, but several offer interactive activities that are aimed at entertaining and educating kids. We provide a full list of the places and spaces welcoming visitors this weekend and note the ones especially kid-friendly. Open house hours are 10am-5pm.
