Windom Northeast Park is a favorite with my kids. The play equipment is slightly more challenging than at many other parks. Another parent commented on how they noticed that the equipment was made for movement. It doesn’t really allow for sitting still. The park contains two connecting playgrounds, one appropriate for grade school and another designed for toddlers. MPRB discovered that the wading pool’s holding tank had deteriorated beyond repair and have determined that it will not be possible to open it during the summer 2021. Stay tuned for future plans. In the meantime, MPRB recommends the pools at Audubon Park and Waite Park. Windom Park’s Recreation Center is an air-conditioned facility. It offers drop in use of board games, computer lab, foosball, ping pong and billiards. It has a community kitchen, a craft room, a gymnasium, a meeting room and a multipurpose room. MPRB rents park facilities for birthday parties and other private events. Individuals and groups are encouraged to use the centers and park spaces for self-directed activities. There are different permit requirements and special use fees, depending on the use. Contact Info: windom@minneapolisparks.orgWindom Northeast Playground and Tot Lot
