TCO Sports Garden (formerly the Vadnais Sports Center) is a state-of-the-art sports complex operated by Ramsey County Parks. It features two NHL regulation hockey rinks and a 100,000 square-foot sports dome. Families can participate in skating and turf programs. Beginning in 2017 Ramsey County Parks has made all open skate, open hockey and open turf programs FREE at this location. Skate rental is $10 and sharpening is $5. Find the open skate schedule here. During a crazy snowstorm of April 2018, the dome collapsed. Luckily, there were no injuries. However, the dome was closed to assess damage and determine a new direction. That direction came in the form of a 15-year agreement with Twin Cities Orthopedics. As part of the funding and name change, a new 82,000 square foot indoor turf facility with a permanent roof structure is being built. The new fieldhouse opened January 2021. Ramsey County has not yet brought back Toddler Open Dome times, batting cages or open field times. Until they do, we have suggestions here: Â
