The museum's collection includes books, photographs, artifacts, oral histories, newspapers and other material limited to items related to Scott County and its residents. The historical society offers regular family-friendly programs, including the monthly Kids Kraft program.

Kids Kraft is usually held on the last Saturday of each month, but skips if it coincides with a holiday. The program, aimed at kids ages 4-8, lasts approximately 45 minutes and includes a craft and a related story. Registration is required for this free program.
