Sidekick Theatre is a professional theatre located in Bloomington that produces several shows a year for both adults and children. Performances include a mix of comedies, musicals and dramas. Productions for children are often based on classic books and fairytales. The theatre usually produces a summer and a winter family show each year, with the winter show offered during the Holiday season. We share any kid-friendly shows on our Performing Arts Page, where we also offer up at-home reading suggestions to pair with the outing. While even full price tickets are on the more affordable side, discounts for Sidekick’s shows can sometimes be found through our affiliate partner, Goldstar – Sign-up through our Half-Price Tickets Page, where you can save a little more on a family night out. Sidekick has recently moved into its new home in the Ives Auditorium in Bloomington, but will sometimes have shows elsewhere. The company is led by Tim Stolz and Brian Pekol, formerly with the Old Log Theatre.
