The Roseville Library is the largest of the seven Ramsey County Library branches and participates in the MELSA system. The other six locations are Shoreview, Maplewood, Mounds View, New Brighton, North St. Paul and White Bear Lake. This library has a Dunn Brothers Coffee Shop in the building. Families appreciate this library for its enclosed children’s area and teen space. This branch is open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.; Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sundays from 12 – 5 p.m. Family-friendly programming includes special family events, storytimes and teen events. Features include the coffee shop, a separate teen space and a large enclosed children’s room and STEAM garden. It also offers study rooms, 114 computers and WIFI. Of course, it also has books and other media. Read it Down Saturdays at Ramsey County Library Drop in at Roseville or any other Ramsey County Library branch on the first Saturday of any month and let your kids (17 and under) “Read Down” their library fines. They can earn $1 off fines for every 15 minutes spent reading (or being read to) while you visit. Ramsey County recently announced that they will be enhancing the Children’s Reading Garden. Families can currently relax and read on the benches provided, picnic at the tables, or play in the prairie area. In the summer, the library offers free summer meals for kids in the garden.
