Osprey Wilds (f/k/a The Audubon Center of the North) is a residential environmental learning center located approximately an hour and a half north of the Twin Cites on Grindstone Lake in Sandstone. The center offers several annual family programs with a focus on helping visitors develop understanding, ethics and responsibility toward the environment. They also offer summer camps each year.

Family Programs at Osprey Wilds

The center offers yearly seasonal family events in winter, spring, and summer. Families can spend a weekend enjoying nature and outdoor activities together. Event pricing is all inclusive, covering lodging, meals and activities for the entire stay and accommodations include a private room for your family. They do offer commuter rates if you would like to forego the meals and lodging; and a couple winter campsites are available (a Yurt and a Cabin).

Also, look for the annual Maple Syrup Brunch and learning event on our Maple Syrup calendar each March.

Osprey Wilds Summer Camps

The center offers a handful of one-week summer camp sessions in June and July, including a grandparent/child summer camp. We include these camps in our annual camp guide, where we update prices and camp dates each year.
